TechFlow reports that the official Chinese Twitter account of SyncSwap stated that the airdrop event will not check users' IP addresses, and the project has been transitioning from testnet to mainnet for over a year. Additionally, the team has held meetings with zkSync’s lead engineer and representatives from Argent (specific meeting details were not disclosed), emphasizing that the project has not undergone any fundraising, token pricing will be determined by the community rather than the team, and users should cautiously participate in the IDO.
It is reported that community rumors suggest SyncSwap shares the same development team as Mojito Markets, a former DEX project in the Aptos ecosystem. As the first project to launch an IDO within the Aptos ecosystem, Mojito announced during the November 2022 "FTX collapse incident" that all its funds were held on FTX and became inaccessible, leading to the suspension of project development. However, this clarification did not address the allegations regarding the team's identity.
Earlier news indicated that SyncSwap, a DEX built on zkSync, tweeted plans to launch its token SYNC in the future. The token has not yet been created, and users are advised to beware of fraudulent information.
