TechFlow news — On March 22, Jeff Ren, Partner at OKX Ventures, was invited to attend the "Hong Kong 2023 OUTLAND Art Exhibition" and participated in a roundtable discussion alongside Jehan Chu, Founder and Managing Partner of Hong Kong-based firm Keneti, and NFT collector Karma Pocket.
During the discussion, Jeff Ren stated that Web3 is reshaping the creator economy. Web3 leverages blockchain technology to enable people to build open, free, and transparent communities, facilitating effective communication, shared joy, and value exchange, while reducing both trust and communication costs. For instance, generative NFT art utilizes smart contracts for creation and is stored on the blockchain as NFTs, merging code with art. This allows creators to share joy through NFTs, earn revenue from their creations, and simultaneously strengthen community belonging among NFT holders, making them feel like integral members of the community.
Notably, OKX Ventures is the investment arm of OKX, a leading global digital asset exchange.
