TechFlow news — Immutable today announced a strategic partnership with Polygon to accelerate the development and adoption of web3 gaming. Polygon will support Immutable's zkEVM, enabling a "major upgrade" to the utility of the IMX token, expanding its role from an exchange utility token to become the native gas token for Immutable zkEVM.
Additionally, Immutable stated that further upgrades are underway for the IMX infrastructure, with more changes to be revealed in collaboration with the Digital World Foundation over the next two months.
Notably, Immutable and Polygon previously invested nearly $2 billion in web3 gaming last year. The newly introduced Immutable zkEVM aims to deliver key solutions, greater EVM compatibility, and an improved gaming experience. Source link
