TechFlow news — According to the Radio Television Hong Kong website, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) will host two high-level meetings in late March, primarily inviting representatives from central banks and regulatory authorities. These include the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) meeting held in Hong Kong on March 22–23, and a joint seminar with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Hong Kong on March 24.
HKMA Chief Executive Eddie Yue introduced that the seminar co-organized by HKMA and BIS, titled "Evolving Banking Supervision in an Era of Innovation," is the first international financial regulatory conference in Hong Kong following its return to normalcy. Over 100 leaders from central banks, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions will be invited to discuss forward-looking issues related to banking, including how regulators and banks can respond to a rapidly changing financial landscape and the future development of cryptocurrencies.Source link
