TechFlow news — According to TechCrunch, Chainlink is launching a self-serve, serverless platform to help developers connect their decentralized applications (dApps) or smart contracts to any Web 2.0 API. Kemal El Moujahid, Chief Product Officer at Chainlink Labs, told TechCrunch that the new platform, Chainlink Functions, also allows builders to run customizable computations on Web 2.0 APIs across its network within minutes.
"Our goal is to enable developers to combine the best of Web3 smart contracts with the powerful functionality of Web 2.0 APIs, creating a massive opportunity to build applications that bring together the best of both smart contracts and Web 2.0," said El Moujahid. The new platform also supports widely used programming languages like JavaScript, making it easier for developers new to Web3 to enter the space. It will also offer integrations with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Meta, and other services.
The platform is currently in private beta on the Ethereum and Polygon testnets. Chainlink plans to expand its capabilities to more blockchains, add new integrations and tools, and launch on mainnet "as soon as possible." Source link
