TechFlow news, according to the official Twitter account, regarding this morning's prolonged data update failure on the blockchain explorer PolygonScan, Polygon stated, "Around 04:26 UTC, some nodes lost synchronization, causing certain nodes to temporarily fail to validate blocks. Block production never stopped; however, network performance may have experienced temporary degradation. The nodes have now resynchronized and the system has returned to normal."
In addition, Greg Lang from node infrastructure provider Rivet said, "The issue on Polygon appears to stem from an 'unusually large' block reorganization that occurred two minutes before Polygon reported nodes losing synchronization. Small-scale block reorganizations are common on Polygon and other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-based networks, but what made this one different was the scale—157 blocks."
