TechFlow, February 9 — Justin Sun, member of Huobi Global Advisory Board and founder of TRON, joined American hip-hop star French Montana and Dr. Watney, founder of JAZ DID, in a live online discussion hosted by Mars Colonization Program scientist Tracy Fanara and broadcasted live via Huobi Live. The conversation centered on "DID: The Infrastructure of SocialFi," exploring the current landscape and future prospects of decentralized identity (DID).
Regarding Huobi's plans for 2023, Justin Sun stated that Huobi aims to become the Coinbase of Asia, enabling broader and easier access to the crypto world. Huobi will also focus on education and awareness within the crypto industry, helping people better understand cryptocurrencies and the benefits they offer. Additionally, given Hong Kong's proactive and open stance toward the crypto industry, Huobi is considering expanding operations there and further developing its presence in the Asian market to lead industry growth.
Justin Sun also noted that the Dominica DID is the first national-level DID launched by a country, with over 200,000 users having claimed it on the Huobi platform. The Dominica DID can be used for KYC verification, bridging the real and digital worlds, and has applications across GameFi, DeFi, CeFi, banking, exchanges, and other sectors—helping address numerous financial challenges.
Currently issued on the TRON public blockchain, the Dominica DID will soon leverage BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) as a cross-chain solution to support Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and other blockchains.
