TechFlow news — In response to the recent earthquake in Turkey, Binance has announced it will airdrop $100 USD (1,883 Turkish Lira) worth of BNB to all Binance users confirmed to reside in the most severely affected regions. User eligibility will be determined based on proof of address (POA) completed prior to February 6 in 10 cities significantly impacted by the earthquake: Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Malatya, and Hatay. The total estimated donation is approximately $5 million USD (or 94,000,000 Turkish Lira).
Binance Charity has also launched a public donation address for anyone to contribute. All donations received at this address will be converted into TRY and transferred to AFAD (the local-GO authorized by the Turkish government) to assist those in need.
