TechFlow news — The gaming blockchain Oasys has announced plans to establish a governance system as part of its decentralized decision-making process, aiming to promote project decentralization while addressing the development of the blockchain gaming industry, including creating interoperability standards specifically for NFTs used in games and the metaverse. Oasys aims to transition into a fully decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) by 2028.
The project plans to first establish its governance system as an initial step toward decentralization, gradually improving public operational frameworks in the future. Eventually, OAS token holders will be able to participate in various project decisions, leading to a fully decentralized Oasys network. 2023 served as a trial period for the governance system, during which improvement proposals regarding the network were limited to the Genesis Council—comprised primarily of Oasys partner enterprises. Regarding voting, functionality enabling participation by general token holders is scheduled to be implemented within the year. By 2024, the Genesis Council will appoint official members, and general token holders will also gain the ability to submit governance proposals.Original link
