TechFlow news, according to Russian media Vedomosti, Alexander Brazhnikov, executive director of the Russian Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Association, revealed that the Central Bank of Iran is considering the possibility of jointly creating a Persian regional token (a gold-backed stablecoin) with Russia. This token could serve as a payment instrument in foreign trade settlements, replacing the US dollar, ruble, and Iranian rial.
Anton Tkachev, member of the State Duma's Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies, and Communications, confirmed that discussions have taken place, but noted that active governmental-level discussions would only proceed after Russia establishes comprehensive regulation of cryptocurrencies.Original link
