REI Network, an EVM-compatible new public blockchain, completed its "Better POS" hard fork upgrade at block height 9,629,061. This upgrade aims to enhance overall rewards for REI Network validators and stakers, increase the network's staking rate, thereby improving stability and security, laying the groundwork for increased on-chain activity and ecosystem expansion. Additionally, REI Network has established a media partnership with Coinstages.
The "Better POS" hard fork upgrade includes the following components:
1. Introduction of a "Black Box" mechanism to penalize "Super Nodes" that miss more than 300 blocks within a 24-hour period;
2. Lowering the minimum threshold for REI Network’s protection mode from 10% (100 million) to 7% (70 million);
3. Introduction of support for snapshot functionality;
4. Enhancement of REI Network’s EVM performance, expected to improve by 5x.
