The consensus research team successfully transitioned Ethereum's mainnet consensus mechanism to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) this year, while actively addressing urgent issues in the MEV domain. Next year, the team will focus on implementing withdrawal functionality, further refining EIP-4844 consensus layer specifications, and other post-merge research topics.
