TechFlow news, Fantom founder Andre Cronje today released an open letter titled "Letter to the Fantom Foundation Team," outlining the core focus for Fantom's plans in 2023. According to the letter, next year Fantom will prioritize vertical development for developers, with the overall goal of creating a sustainable environment for dapp developers that differentiates itself from other public blockchains.
Key priorities will include gas monetization, gas subsidies, account abstraction, economic abstraction of gas fees, new middleware (Fantom Virtual Machine, new storage mechanisms), hardware optimizations for throughput improvements (PebbleDB, flat storage, etc.), updated documentation and training tailored for new builders and non-blockchain developers, timely disclosure of financial status, and funding and grant opportunities for dapp teams.
Additionally, Andre mentioned in the letter that he has been formally nominated and accepted a position on both the Fantom Foundation and Fantom Operations boards. Source link
