TechFlow News, SushiSwap DAO CEO Jared Gray has disclosed a budget snapshot for 2023, revealing over $5.2 million will be allocated next year to sustain operations of its DEX. More than 82% of these funds will go toward paying 15 salaries, including $500,000 in USDC designated for Jared Gray. The average income per team member is approximately $286,500.
The remaining DAO budget of about $919,000 will cover operational management expenses for SushiSwap, such as legal fees, subscription costs, compensation for freelance contributors, and social media management. One undisclosed freelancer has a budget of $12,000 per month, only $500 less than the average monthly retainer for Sushi's legal team.
Previously reported, Jared Gray tweeted that over the past 12 months, SushiSwap spent $30 million on its emission-based reward strategy to bootstrap liquidity and incentivize LPs, and is now pursuing multiple initiatives aimed at addressing long-standing issues with Sushi’s product and broken business model by the first quarter of 2023.Original link
