TechFlow news — NBA Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is once again facing a new cryptocurrency-related lawsuit over his promotion of the NFT collection "Bored Ape Yacht Club" (BAYC). According to reports, two investors who purchased ApeCoin have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles federal court against Yuga Labs—the parent company behind the BAYC NFT series—its executives, board members, and several high-profile celebrities including Stephen Curry, Madonna, Paris Hilton, Serena Williams, Justin Bieber, and Jimmy Fallon.
The suit alleges that because FTX Ventures was an investor in Yuga Labs, Amy Wu, as a member of the Ape DAO board, leveraged her connections at the cryptocurrency exchange FTX to recruit Stephen Curry and other celebrities to promote BAYC sales. These celebrity endorsements allegedly failed to "disclose material financial interests and relationships."Original link
