TechFlow news, Terra Rebels volunteer developer group member @reXxTerraRebels tweeted that the Terra Classic network will re-enable its Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) channels tomorrow. This upgrade will not cause any downtime. The community still needs to pass additional governance proposals to upgrade the Tendermint client. The code has successfully passed initial testing, and developers are conducting further tests seeking more external review.
Previously reported, on May 13, following UST's depegging, Terra disabled its IBC channels. On May 23, Terra tweeted, "Proposal #1299 to re-enable Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) has passed, but failed to execute successfully due to technical issues. We're aware of the issues related to this proposal and are working to open the IBC channels for users as soon as possible."
IBC enables users within the Terra ecosystem to connect across other blockchains supporting the IBC standard and send or receive assets.Original link
