TechFlow news, according to Reuters, official real estate records show that FTX, SBF's parents, and other executives of the exchange purchased at least 19 properties in the Bahamas over the past two years, valued at nearly $121 million. This includes seven condominiums within the upscale Albany resort community, worth nearly $72 million. Property deeds indicate these condos were bought by a division of FTX for housing key employees.
Additionally, a residence in Old Fort Bay was signed by SBF’s parents, Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried. When asked why they decided to buy property in the Bahamas and how the purchases were funded, SBF’s parents said they have consistently attempted to return the properties to FTX.
