TechFlow news, representatives from Ripple and Binance have informed UK lawmakers that both companies are seeking licenses from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Susan Friedman, Ripple's policy lead, said Ripple currently has around 60 employees in the UK. While the company's current business model does not require FCA registration, Ripple plans to apply for a license as it expands its operations in the country.
Earlier reports indicated that Binance has hired a senior executive with compliance experience as its UK director. Binance’s UK subsidiary aims to comply with FCA regulations and operate a regulated crypto asset business in the UK.Original link
