TechFlow news — FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) has retracted his previous statement about donating $1 billion to the 2024 U.S. presidential election during an interview with Politico's Morning Money, calling it a "dumb quote."
Reportedly, SBF mentioned in a podcast back in May that he might donate $1 billion toward the 2024 U.S. presidential election. According to the podcast interview, SBF has already donated $200 million of his net worth, most of which went to political causes. This year, he has contributed $23 million to a political action committee (PAC). Additionally, SBF was one of the largest individual donors to Biden’s 2020 campaign.Source link
