TechFlow news — According to PocketGamer, newly established game studio Theorycraft Games has announced the completion of a $50 million Series B funding round. The round was led by blockchain gaming-focused investment fund Makers Fund, with participation from NEA and a16z.
Theorycraft Games stated it will use the funds to accelerate development of its first game, "Loki." It remains unclear whether Loki will incorporate cryptocurrency mechanics. However, lead investor Makers Fund has previously backed several Web3 gaming companies, including leading MetaKing Studios' $15 million seed round, Trailblazers Games' $8.2 million raise, and Gamefam's $25 million funding round for its metaverse-based games.Source link
