TechFlow news — Enterprise-grade metaverse hardware and software provider Varjo has announced a $40 million Series D funding round. Investors include EQT Ventures, Atomico, Volvo Cars Technology Fund, Lifeline Ventures, Finnish government venture capital and private equity fund Tesi, Swiss financial and banking giant Mirabaud, and Foxconn.
Varjo CEO Timo Toikkanen revealed that Foxconn is currently assisting in manufacturing its devices. Varjo develops professional-grade virtual and augmented reality hardware and integrated software for industrial and other enterprise applications. Earlier this year, the company launched its software application and tools platform, Varjo Reality Cloud. Its clients include Fortune 100 companies such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Aston Martin, and Kia.
The new funding will be used to further develop Varjo's XR headsets and advance research into software applications and tools within the Varjo Reality Cloud.Original link
