TechFlow news, according to The Block, cryptocurrency asset management firm Wave Financial plans to acquire Switzerland-based investment company Criptonite Asset Management. According to an official press release, Wave has acquired a minority stake in Criptonite, marking the first step toward a full acquisition. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and terms were not disclosed, but Wave expects the acquisition to be completed by the end of 2022.
The two firms have reportedly already established a strategic partnership. In 2021, Criptonite launched several actively managed certificates (AMCs) for Wave’s flagship digital asset fund in Europe.
