TechFlow news — a16z's crypto division is preparing to launch a free licensing system, aiming to establish industry standards for NFT usage by offering a suite of legally vetted, open license options similar to Creative Commons.
Miles Jennings, General Counsel at a16z, said that people are currently taking a wide variety of approaches, and greater standardization across the industry would help unlock its economic potential.
All six licenses are available on a16z Crypto's GitHub: Creator Irrevocability, Respect Modifications and Adaptations, Support Transparent Sub-licensing, Respect Third-party Content, Clear License Ownership in Case of Loss, and License Deployment to Arweave.Original link
