TechFlow News — According to an official announcement, Polkadot has unveiled its next-generation governance system, Gov2, allowing any user to initiate referenda at any time without explicit limits on voting frequency. All referenda must be based on a proposal, and proposers may specify the proposal's origin—either a single source or a combination of multiple sources. Once a referendum enters the deciding phase, it becomes eligible for approval (valid for 28 days only); if not approved within this period, it is automatically rejected.
Following final professional code audits, Gov2 will first launch on Kusama, while the full governance upgrade "Gov2.5" is scheduled for deployment in several months.
