TechFlow news — Modular Capital, a cryptocurrency hedge fund, has raised $20 million in funding, with participation from Multicoin Capital, ParaFi Capital, Road Capital, and LedgerPrime.
Modular Capital was co-founded by James Ho and Vincent Jow, focusing primarily on investments in liquid tokens and DeFi. Additionally, the fund will seek to invest in primitives that enable applications to deliver rich user experiences, such as layer-1 and layer-2 blockchains or various Web3 infrastructure tools.
James Ho most recently served as a lead at Altimeter Capital, focusing on investments in fintech and cryptocurrency. Prior to that, he spent approximately four years at D.E. Shaw Group, investing in industries including fintech, payments, media, and telecommunications. Before co-founding Modular Capital, Vincent Jow had been engaged in similar investment activities at Holocene Advisors in New York since 2017.
