TechFlow news — Enthusiasm appears to be lacking for Chevrolet's first NFT auction, despite the promise of a free 2023 Corvette Z06 (a vehicle scheduled to be built after the auction and delivered by September 2022). The NFT, titled "Own the Color," features a lime-green Corvette Z06 created by digital artist Nick Sullo.
The auction launched on June 20 via the NFT marketplace SuperRare. According to the auction listing, the starting bid was set at 206 ETH ($235,550). However, during the initial phase from June 20 to June 24, there were zero bids.
Subsequently, SuperRare announced a 24-hour extension, citing that due to the frenzy of the NFT.NYC event, some users had “missed the Corvette Z06 NFT auction window.” Yet, even after the additional 24 hours, the auction concluded once again with no bids. (Cryptonews)
