TechFlow News: Social media giant Meta (formerly Facebook) has filed five trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its recently rebranded payment product, Meta Pay. The applications cover services including cryptocurrency wallets, cryptocurrency payment services, exchange services, and online social networking services for investors. Previously, Stephane Kasriel, Meta's head of financial technology, announced the rebranding from Facebook Pay to Meta Pay, stating, “It's well known that we are very optimistic about Web3—and the technologies and principles it encompasses.” (Source)
