TechFlow News — According to Coinpost, Opn (formerly SYNQA), the parent company of blockchain payment firm Omise, has announced the completion of a Series C funding round raising approximately $120 million. Investors include MUFG Bank, Mars Growth, and JIC Venture Growth Investments. With this latest round, Opn's total fundraising exceeds $222 million.
Founded in 2013, Opn specializes in blockchain technology and digital transformation solutions for online payments and fintech applications. It operates the NFT issuance and sales platform Opn Mint and the payment infrastructure Opn Payments. Its payment services operate under the brand name Omise, including OMN Network, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain product. OMG Network previously received investment from a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency OTC exchange.
In June 2020, SYNQA, the parent company of Omise, completed an $80 million Series C round led by SCB 10X and SPARX Group.
