TechFlow news, the Coinbase NFT marketplace Beta version has launched. Starting today, everyone can access the Beta version of the NFT marketplace, though initially only specific users will be able to buy or sell NFTs. The Coinbase NFT marketplace currently supports Ethereum-based NFTs and ETH as a payment method.
Sanchan Saxena, Vice President of Product at Coinbase, revealed that the marketplace will integrate additional blockchains in the future and will soon fully support fiat on-ramps.
According to reports, beta testers can use any self-custody wallet for transactions, including Coinbase Wallet and MetaMask. Coinbase will not charge transaction fees within a limited time frame but will eventually follow industry standards to impose fees. Regarding gas fees, Coinbase stated it has partnered with 0x Protocol to optimize transactions and reduce costs. Coinbase will also allow users to purchase NFTs with credit cards.
Coinbase said Coinbase NFT is a Web3 social marketplace dedicated to NFTs. In addition to supporting NFT trading, its marketplace will enable community members to interact with creators and collectors.
