TechFlow news — Uniswap Labs, the primary developer of Uniswap, announced the launch of its venture capital arm, Uniswap Labs Ventures. The new division will invest in Web3 project teams across various categories, including infrastructure, developer tools, and consumer-facing applications. Uniswap Labs Ventures will also prioritize projects closely aligned with Uniswap Labs’ values—long-term building, open collaboration with communities, and user-first principles—and plans to participate in the governance systems of protocols such as MakerDAO, Aave, Compound, and Ethereum Name Service.
The fund size of Uniswap Labs Ventures has not been disclosed. Matteo Leibowitz, head of ventures at the company, said investments will be made directly from Uniswap Labs’ balance sheet.
Prior to launching its venture arm, Uniswap Labs had already invested in 11 startups and projects, including MakerDAO, Aave, Compound Protocol, PartyDAO, LayerZero, and Tenderly, an Ethereum developer platform.
