TechFlow news, Serpent, founder of Discord and crypto threat mitigation system Sentinel, tweeted that he received insider information from a hacker stating the official captcha bot Captcha.Bot has been compromised—please remove it from your servers. The BAYC and Doodles Discord accounts have already been attacked, and more servers are expected to be targeted.
I'm not 100% certain this is the root cause of the attacks, but please remove it from your server for safety and switch to a different verification bot.
Serpent was informed that the owner of Captcha Bot (ImDarkDiamond) has been hacked and the source code stolen (this information is 100% confirmed accurate).
Earlier reports indicated that Discord accounts of projects including BAYC, Doodles, and Nyoki Club were attacked, with hackers distributing fake NFT minting website links.
