TechFlow news — The Avalanche Foundation and Web3 social media platform Op3n have announced a $100 million initiative, Culture Catalyst, aimed at enabling creators to build projects on Avalanche that will be exclusively accessible on the emerging social media platform Op3n.
The first recipient of Culture Catalyst funding is Canadian musician and former girlfriend of Musk, Grimes. At the Avalanche Summit on Friday, Grimes announced plans to launch an "Interstellar Children's Metaverse Book," designed to support the development of art-, entertainment-, and culture-related projects on the Avalanche blockchain.
Op3n says its user interface resembles TikTok, describing itself as an app that allows creators to easily leverage Web3 technology to interact with fans. Users select a creator’s profile and connect their wallet to purchase NFTs, granting fans access to exclusive content. Op3n recently closed a $10 million seed round led by Galaxy Interactive and BRV Capital Management.
