TechFlow news — Pavel Zavalny, chairman of the Energy Committee of Russia's State Duma, said at a press conference on Thursday that Russia is willing to accept bitcoin as payment for its natural resource exports.
Zavalny explained that Russia is open to receiving different currencies for its exported goods, starting with natural gas, depending on the buyer’s preferred payment method. However, the terms will depend on the diplomatic relations between the importing country and Russia. Russia could trade in its own currency or bitcoin with "friendly" nations. "If they want to pay in bitcoin, we will do bitcoin transactions."
