TechFlow reports that following the recent data breach at Hubspot, a crypto data service provider, BlockFi and Swan Bitcoin have issued clarifications stating their operations remain unaffected, with no risk to treasury assets or compromise of passwords and other sensitive information. They emphasized that Hubspot is an external tool, preventing hackers from accessing internal systems.
According to prior reporting by Planet Daily, on March 19, cryptocurrency financial institution BlockFi confirmed that one of its third-party vendors, Hubspot, was hacked, resulting in a data leak. User data stored on Hubspot included names, email addresses, and phone numbers. According to the announcement, hackers gained access to BlockFi customer data stored on Hubspot's customer relationship management platform on March 18.
