TechFlow news, according to Bitcoin.com, bitcoin miner Bitfarms has announced the acquisition of new land and a building in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, to establish a new bitcoin mining center called Garlock. The facility will serve as a replacement for the phased-out de la Pointe site and will provide 18 megawatts of power for mining operations. The new site will be located in a remote area and equipped with the latest noise reduction and monitoring technologies.
Bitfarms will invest approximately 2.25 million Canadian dollars (about 1.76 million U.S. dollars) and issue 25,000 common share purchase warrants into the new facility.
