TechFlow News, February 18 — Binance announced it has joined the Russian Union of Banks, becoming the first cryptocurrency organization to join the association. Established in 1990, the Russian Union of Banks is now the largest banking association in Russia, comprising over 240 banks and organizations. Around 90% of the country's banking system assets are held by member banks of the association.
The Presidium of the Council of the Russian Union of Banks approved Binance's membership and the establishment of an Expert Center for Digital Financial Assets and Digital Currency. Olga Goncharova, Binance's GR Director for Russia and CIS, has been appointed head of the Expert Center.
