TechFlow news — The Dogecoin Foundation has released the Dogecoin Trailmap for the first time in eight years, as follows:
1. Redesign the Dogecoin.com website, with a key focus on the Dogepedia section.
2. Create Libdogecoin, a C library of Dogecoin building blocks that allows anyone to build Dogecoin-compliant products without needing to handle the deeper details of cryptographic functions.
3. Establish Dogecoin Standards. These standards aim to fully document the reference implementation (core wallet), fill the gap left by the absence of a "whitepaper", and provide documentation for those seeking to understand how Dogecoin works. The Dogecoin protocol will be represented in a way that is independent of the core wallet for the first time.
4. Launch the open-source project GigaWallet, which will offer a node/API solution that can be set up within seconds, enabling developers to integrate Dogecoin transactions into their platforms.
5. Address community security concerns through the proposed Dogecoin Keyring application and SDK. This app will allow Dogecoin users to retain custody of their coins while integrating with the GigaWallet API, enabling mobile applications to conduct Dogecoin transactions without holding private keys.
6. The Foundation is also collaborating with Vitalik Buterin on a unique Dogecoin proposal for a Proof-of-Stake ("PoS") "Community Staking" version, which will allow everyone—not just large stakeholders—to participate in running the network and earn rewards for their contributions, while giving back to the broader community through charitable initiatives.
