TechFlow news — FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) has been named Founder of the Year by Decrypt. Continuous expansion of partnerships made 2021 a pivotal year for both FTX and SBF.
FTX now sponsors or collaborates with the NBA's Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, International Cricket Council, Major League Baseball, esports organization TSM, and Riot Games' League of Legends Championship Series.
Star athletes including Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels, Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors have become investors and brand ambassadors for FTX, while FTX also sponsored a Super Bowl advertisement.
SBF said these collaborations have boosted FTX’s visibility, but emphasized that they are laying the groundwork for even bigger initiatives in 2022.
