TechFlow News, October 28 — Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, said in an interview that the company plans to continue expanding into new jurisdictions by acquiring local crypto firms or exchanges. When asked about future acquisition plans, SBF hinted he might be looking for another LedgerX—the regulated U.S. crypto derivatives firm that FTX acquired in August and which now forms part of FTX.US, FTX's American subsidiary. "I wouldn't be surprised if we spent over $1 billion on acquisitions in the next year or so," SBF said, adding that targets would likely be companies offering regulatory relationships, licenses, or fiat connectivity.
