TechFlow news on October 21 — According to the South China Morning Post, four sources familiar with the matter revealed that Tencent plans to build a new studio by assembling an international team dedicated to developing advanced games for the next stage of the internet, marking a stronger focus on building its metaverse ecosystem.
Tencent recently sent an internal memo to its global employees announcing the establishment of a new "F1" studio under TiMi Studio Group, involving staff from China, the United States, Canada, and Singapore. The new F1 studio currently has job openings for at least 46 different positions.
TiMi Studios declined to comment on the F1 initiative. A representative of TiMi said Wednesday the company remains committed to developing "AAA" games but has no intention to discuss "buzzwords."
