The wealthiest among them is 29-year-old cryptocurrency entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried, with a net worth of $22.5 billion, making him the youngest person ever to appear on the Forbes 400 and the wealthiest self-made newcomer in the list's history. In total, seven cryptocurrency entrepreneurs made the list, including FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Gemini founders Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss, and Ripple co-founders Jed McCaleb and Chris Larsen.
