TechFlow News — According to Blockworks, FTX, the digital derivatives trading platform, has moved its headquarters from Hong Kong to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, due to a more favorable regulatory environment and the absence of mandatory quarantine upon arrival.
FTX CEO and founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) stated that "the proactive stance toward cryptocurrencies taken by the Bahamas and its regulators" was one of the main reasons for relocating the company there. He also noted, "FTX will be regulated under the DARE Act issued by the Securities Commission of the Bahamas in 2020, one of the few comprehensive regulations globally specifically targeting cryptocurrency exchanges."
