TechFlow News — According to Bloomberg, FTX.US has acquired the naming rights to California Memorial Stadium in a 10-year, $17.5 million deal.
Sina Nader, COO of FTX.US, was a walk-on player for the University of California, Berkeley's Golden Bears during his undergraduate years. Sam Bankman-Fried’s father is also an alumnus. The deal brings a new revenue stream for the university, which has long subsidized its athletic department.
California Memorial Stadium, considered one of the premier sports venues in the U.S. and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in Alameda County—the namesake of SBF’s company, Alameda Research.
