TechFlow News — According to Bloomberg, the founders of cryptocurrency investment platform Africrypt have gone missing, and 69,000 bitcoins (worth approximately $2.3 billion) on the platform have been transferred. In April, Africrypt's Chief Operating Officer Ameer Cajee informed clients that the platform had been hacked and asked them not to report the lost funds to authorities. Investors subsequently hired lawyers to investigate, but the lawyers were unable to contact the company's founders and have since notified South Africa's crime investigation unit. Additionally, the lawyers discovered that funds from Africrypt’s accounts and customer wallets were moved and then passed through bitcoin mixers to obscure their traceability.
