TechFlow news, according to CoinDesk, Trump has granted a full pardon to Ken Kurson, a member of Ripple's board of directors. Kurson is one of 73 individuals receiving full pardons from Trump. Additionally, 70 others had their sentences commuted, though the list did not include Ross Ulbricht, founder of the Silk Road marketplace, who reportedly was under consideration for clemency last month. Also absent were WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who helped popularize the use of bitcoin, and Edward Snowden, who provided detailed information about U.S. surveillance programs to WikiLeaks. Other recipients of Wednesday’s pardons include former campaign strategist Steve Bannon, who was working on a cryptocurrency project before his arrest in 2018 on fraud charges related to fundraising for the 2020 presidential campaign. Earlier reports indicated that Ken Kurson, a Ripple board member and co-founder of the cryptocurrency news site Modern Consensus, was arrested and charged with cyberstalking related to his divorce proceedings.
