Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, alongside a group of prominent journalists, public figures, and capital partners, will collaborate with the blockchain research group Overline to form Overline Media Partners (OMP). Trump stated, "Americans know the media is broken. We don’t have to focus on the negative. The demand for accurate, censorship-resistant news is both a fundamental right and a massive opportunity."
Overline CEO Patrick McConlogue said, "Using blockchain through Overline’s verified viewership system, we can provide cryptocurrency rewards to audiences to prove their engagement with specific market segments or news personalities. By granting these tokens to viewers, you not only gain more trustworthy journalists, but also more trustworthy audiences—this represents an entirely new paradigm for journalism."
