TechFlow reports that today Coinbase published a blog post announcing support for ETH2 staking and trading. Cryptocurrency KOL Hasu summarized the announcement, stating users can stake ETH through Coinbase to mint BETH ("Beacon Chain Ethereum"), allowing them to trade BETH for Ethereum and other tokens while earning investment returns and maintaining liquidity. In response, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin commented that naming it "BETH" is highly misleading, as it is a Coinbase-specific derivative product. If Kraken creates its own derivative, the rewards would differ based on its staking performance, leading to a different price.
