TechFlow News, November 10 — The developer of DeFi project SharkTron claimed that $10 million worth of TRX was stolen. The community has accused SharkTron’s anonymous developers of running a scam and fleeing with hundreds of millions of TRX. While the exact amount stolen remains unclear, Twitter users reported losses between 366 million and 400 million TRX (worth approximately $10 million). The TRON Foundation's official Twitter account confirmed the incident and stated that it has contacted Binance to jointly track down the perpetrators and the stolen funds. Although a portion of the funds has been frozen, other exchanges may also join efforts to recover the assets. The team advised affected users to file reports with their local police.
Additionally, some users claimed that SharkToken was a whitelisted project on JustSwap, a decentralized exchange on the TRON network. Twitter users had previously warned TRON founder Justin Sun about the fraudulent nature of the project and even urged him to block the anonymous developers’ wallets. However, Justin Sun did not respond to these warnings.
