TechFlow news — On the evening of November 2, Beijing time, reports emerged that Huobi COO Zhu Jiawei had been taken away by police.
In response, one person close to Huobi said: "False. I saw him having lunch in Zunyi this morning—unless he was detained later this afternoon." Another individual close to Huobi messaged Zhu Jiawei on WeChat to verify the report but had not received a reply as of yet.
Zhu Jiawei, born in 1982, previously worked at Oracle and Capgemini Consulting. He joined Huobi in 2015 and has served as CEO Assistant, Operations Director, and Chief Operating Officer.

As of now, Huobi has not issued an official statement regarding the matter, and withdrawals from the platform remain unaffected.
