TechFlow news — On the evening of September 11, Sushi founder Chef Nomi tweeted that he has returned ETH worth $14 million, and it will be up to the community to decide how much (in tokens) he is entitled to as Sushi's founder, whether in ETH, SUSHI, or other tokens, and how long any holdings should be locked.
Chef Nomi also stated that he will continue to participate behind the scenes in SushiSwap discussions and technical implementation, but will receive no public attention and will not be part of governance.
Previously, Chef Nomi withdrew approximately $13 million worth of SUSHI from Uniswap's SUSHI liquidity pool, converted it into ETH, causing SUSHI's price to plummet sharply, and subsequently transferred control of the private keys to FTX founder SBF.
According to a recent Forbes report, several SUSHI token holders have claimed they plan to file a class-action lawsuit against Chef Nomi. As Chef Nomi remains anonymous, it is unclear how the situation will unfold, or whether the FBI and IRS might get involved.
